RURAL CHARTERED SURVEYOR
Sworders are a broad based rural property consultancy firm based
primarily in Hertfordshire (Bishops Stortford) but expanding into the
Midlands (Rugby). We are looking for a rural practice surveyor with 3 - 5
years plus post-qualification experience to work in either location. An
interest in planning and development is preferred, although workload will
be varied across all sectors of rural practice including agency
(agricultural, residential and commercial), professional and estate
management. Working as part of an energetic multi-disciplinary team the
successful candidate will have excellent team working and interpersonal
skills and an ability to build strong client relationships.
Sworders have a broad client base ranging from established estates and
farms to private landowners. A team of ten professional staff provide a
full range of rural property, surveying, town planning and building design
advice.

CONSERVATION ARCHITECT
BISHOP’S STORTFORD, HERTS
Registered Architect with UK based conservation and listed building experience to work alongside Surveying and Town Planning professionals in a broad based rural property consultancy. Diversity of projects at all stages from inception to completion. Commercial and residential, new build and conversion.
Sworders are a firm of rural property consultants based on the Essex/Hertfordshire borders. We are looking for an Architect to compliment our Surveying (MRICS) and Town Planning (MRTPI) professionals. Our client base ranges from large country estates and commercial farm enterprises to high net worth individuals, institutions (including a number of private schools), small businesses and private householders. A significant proportion of our work is concerned with listed and historic buildings and buildings in sensitive conservation or rural settings. UK based conservation and listed building experience is therefore required.
The position will offer a diverse workload, focusing initially on design work as part of the planning process, particularly for design led and historically sensitive projects, but also offering the opportunity expand the business by keeping projects in-house through to completion.
The successful candidate will be assisted by a CAD technician.
The position requires an outgoing and team orientated individual with an ability to build and maintain client relationships and work on their own initiative to help develop the business. Fluent knowledge of AutoCAD essential. Clear potential for promotion through the company for the right candidate.
